Block

When you block someone, that person can no longer perform certain actions, such as viewing your posts.

What is the Oshinstar blocking system and how do I block someone?

One of the main methods that Oshinstar has to maintain order in the community is the blocking or reporting system, through which you can block or report the content or profile that publishes inappropriate content. You can find more detailed information in the Community Guidelines.

It is advisable to take this type of action when it comes to cases of grooming or cyberbulling, which unfortunately are becoming more frequent every day.

For this reason, to avoid these unwanted interactions, it is advisable to block and/or report the profile, either because of dissatisfaction with their publications, for example related to violence or sex, for observing strange behavior or because they are trying to spread some malicious code.

Those you block cannot send you requests or messages, they cannot consult your profile and you will not be able to see their comments and posts.

To block a profile on Oshinstar:

  1. Go to the profile you want to block.

  2. On their profile card, press located on the right.

  3. Select the Block [username] option.

  4. Confirm and tap Block.

If you follow this profile, when you block them, they will no longer be connected. They will not have any kind of interaction, so the blocked profile will not be able to see your photos, videos or listen to one of your tracks. They will also not be able to find your user in the search engine.

If you block a profile, that profile will not be able to:

  • See what you post on your profile.

  • Comment on your posts.

  • Invite you to events.

  • Start a conversation with you.

Other things to keep in mind when blocking a profile:

  • If you block a profile, they will also be removed from your followers or following list.

  • You will not be able to perform other actions, such as starting a conversation with that person, or adding them again.

People do not receive a notification when you block them.
